Persian Moon gains a wildcard entry into the 2019 Investec Derby

The Mark Johnston-trained Persian Moon recorded his third win for the season with a pillar to post effort at Epsom this afternoon. The 2yo son of Makfi made all under champion jockey Silvestre de Sousa to win by a length and three quarters from Three Commets. This race has the added bonus of a ticket to The Derby next year and if he can stay further this could be on the cards. His stable companion Dee Ex Bee won the 2017 running before finishing a fine second in this year’s Investec Derby.

Persian Moon is now finished for the season but heads to the Winter with dreams very much alive.
