Ickymasho

Triton Stable’s Ickymasho (GB) turned in a commanding performance to win the $150,000 Bewitch (G3) Stakes on the closing day of Keeneland’s 16-day Spring Meet. Last year, Ickymasho was third in the Bewitch in her North American debut after 30 starts in Europe. She entered this year’s Bewitch following close runner-up efforts in The Very One (G3) and Orchid (G3) at Gulfstream Park in March. The victory was worth $90,000 and increased Ickymasho’s earnings to $283,403 with a record of 39-9-11-4. Ickymasho is a 7-year-old daughter of Multiplex out of the Mark of Esteem (IRE) mare Icky Woo. She was bought as a yearling by Luke for 13,000gns and later recommended to our associates Kern Thoroughbreds to race in America.

Cleverley

Cleverley won her first race in Australia at Wyong Racecourse for the Hawkes Racing team. This was only her 3rd start down under and she has already earnt over $20,000. Cleverley was a 10,000gns horses in training purchase at the Tattersalls July Sale in Newmarket last summer, on behalf of Trevor Lobb. A 4yo Mastercraftsman, out of Turning Point (Dalakhani), she had four starts in England for Henry Candy! She looks good value now!

Persian Moon

Persian Moon has been placed in two Stakes races in the last two weeks, the first being when third in the bet365 Classic Trial (Group 3) at Sandown followed by another third placed finish in the Lightning Spear Newmarket Stakes (Listed) at Newmarket. This ultra tough and consistent horse has been handled superbly by Mark Johnston and given the Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds syndicate members lots of fun. Persian Moon was purchased at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale in 2017 for 40,000gns and has since earnt £55,000, including both the Book 1 £25,000 bonus and the Plus 10 £10,000 bonus. This son of Makfi looks set for a productive three-year-old campaign this summer!
