The Flat is Back

Flat racing on the turf returned at Doncaster and it was a brilliant start to the season for Lillingston Bloodstock. Auxerre, was a very impressive winner of the famous Lincoln Handicap, for Charlie Appleby, James Doyle and Godolphin. Roscoff, the dam of Auxerre was purchased by Luke on behalf of Merriebelle Stables and Auxerre was also sold by Mount Coote as a yearling. It would be no surprise if Auxerre followed in the footsteps of last years winner Addeybb and competes in the premier mile races throughout the summer.

On the other side of the pond, Ickymasho, purchased as a yearling by Luke, was incredibly unlucky to be beaten a nose in a Group 3 at Gulfstream Park. This was her third placed effort in the US since being bought by our associates Kern Thoroughbreds to race for their partnership Triton Racing. Fingers crossed she will have more luck in her next start.
