Flighty Lady begins Classic campaign

 In Latest News

Flighty Lady began her classic campaign at Longchamp on Thursday in the Group 3 Prix Vanteaux over 1900m. She was purchased in partnership with Michel Zerolo for Peter Brant after finishing 3rd in the Group 1 Prix Marcel Bousacc. She has since moved to the stable of Jean Claude Rouget having previously been trained by Gavin Hernon for Paul Hancock.

Flighty Lady settled in behind the leaders and travelled smoothly throughout the race. She made her effort 2 furlongs out and kept on strongly to the line, to finish 3rd, beaten a short head for second. After 7 months off it was a pleasing return to the track. Hopefully she will improve significantly for the run and stepping up in distance may also see more improvement. An exciting season lies ahead and we’re very fortunate to be involved with such a talented filly.
