Quattroelle wins impressively on debut at Santa Anita

Quattroelle was a very impressive winner at Santa Anita on Saturday. Making her first start since being purchased privately in Ireland with Joe Miller of Kern Thoroughbreds, Quattroelle showed an impressive turn of foot and accelerated away from the field to win by 2 lengths without being fully extended. The future looks bright for this daughter of Mehmas and Stakes races will be on the agenda in the coming months. Quattroelle was purchased from Kevin Coleman and bred by Rossenara Stud.

Cotopaxi finishes a close third in the Zuma Beech Stakes

Cotopaxi ran a fantastic race to finish 3rd, beaten only ¾ of a length in the Listed Zuma Beech Stakes on Sunday. He had previously shown a lot of promise on his first start in the US in the Listed Del Mar Juvenile Turf Stakes and improved to go very close to winning on Sunday. The future also looks exciting for this son of Sir Prancealot, a sire who has been very successful in California. Cotopaxi was a private purchase from England out of Jamie Osborne’s yard.
